Peter was born on October 5, 1974 in Winnipeg, where he grew up. He graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Degree in Computer Science.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister Nancy, brother-in-law Alfredo Coreas, his nephew Santiago, and niece Gabriela Coreas. He had a close, loving relationship with his nephew and niece, visiting with them at least twice yearly, showering them with love, time and gifts.
Peter was a sharp, witty, resilient, generous, loving, and optimistic person. During his thirty month journey with cancer, he remained hopeful, and was never reluctant to try another mode of treatment.
Peter loved computers. When his parents bought their first computer, he begged to stay home from school so he could play with it. He was drawn to the center of the action in Silicon Valley and moved to California 21 years ago. The bulk of his career was spent with A9, the first remote development center for Amazon. There he found his niche, loved his work, made wonderful friends, and never looked back.
He also loved board games. During his illness the highlight of his week was having friends come to play games. His tendency to accumulate led to a gargantuan collection of games, books, and models.
We are grateful to Peter’s medical team for their valiant efforts to give him their best, including compassion, the latest treatments, support and comfort.
