Mr. Robert Henry Sharpe

On July 17, 2010 Robert (Bob) Sharpe passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years old at the Seven Oaks Hospital.

Bob is survived by his loving family: Donna his wife of 52 years. Son Robert(Candace), Paula (Doug), Grandchildren Rob, Ashley (Jaime), Kylie (Mark), Erin (John) and grandchild Riley Robert, Niece Heather Mirecki (Robert).

He was predeceased by his daughter Pamela, mother Maude (Nana), father Robert and his sister Margaret Johnson.

Being inducted into the Manitoba softball hall of Fame in 2004 was a highlight in his life. Dad enjoyed bowling, gardening and spending time with his family during the holidays.

Bob spent 25 years employed by Dofasco in Hamilton and 30 years employed by Manitoba Housing at Hendon House as caretaker. He has made many lasting friendships and was a friend to all with whom he came into contact with. He always had a Quirke joke or comment to lighten the day.

As a long time Bomber season ticket holder Dad enjoyed these games with his daughter Paula and many friends in Section G. He was looking forward to walking his daughter down the aisle in 2011.

The family would like to thank the staff of Grace Hospital and Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and care.

Dad would always say “this is not goodbye, but so long till we meet again.”

He will truly be missed and forever in our hearts.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 22 at 2:00 PM at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Viewing took place on Wednesday, July 21 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home.
