

Ross Kirk died peacefully on August 31 2021, at Health Science Centre, with family by his side. He was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Edna Kirk, and is survived by his brother Brian and wife Barbara and their sons James(Rebecca), Graham(Shannon), and Andrew(Kristy), his brother Bruce and his wife Karen and her sons David(Melissa) and Stephen, and 8 great nephews and nieces.
He is also survived by his step children, Alan Olson (Carolann), grandchildren Samantha and Evan (Jenna) and Cheryl MacMillan (Ron), grandchildren Richard,Beckwith, Jessica Trinder (Chris) and Steven Beckwith (Anne). (Great Grandchildren Emily, Cassidy and Nicholas Trinder).
Ross was a very serious person with a very definite idea of right and wrong, and there was little if any “gray” in his life. He had a strong sense of family and was generous to his nephews, His grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also felt he had a responsibility to the larger community and gave blood many times, gave generously of his time in visiting shut-ins and donated regularly to many charities. He had many friendships, some that lasted from childhood, and they all remember him fondly.
A private family service will be held on September 11, 2021.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the care Ross received from the staff at Cancer Care Manitoba, and the palliative care staff at Health Sciences Center.
