Ruben Balmes

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Ruben Balmes, on Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 86 years.

Ruben will be sadly missed by his wife Lucila Balmes; children, Mando (Nellie), Rod (Florence), Lito (Katie), Juanito (Sally), Nelisa (Ruel), Arnel, Nelia and Val; grandchildren, Len, Sarah, Charlene, JR, Anelie, Armelie, Mark, Mylene, Kevin, Ryan, Jason, Brian, James, CJ, Lauren, Jenny, Eyneil, Anjhelo, Gina, Abrianne and great grandchildren.

He was precedeased by sons Edgardo and Leonardo and daughter Theresa.

Lamay will be held on April 2nd and 3rd from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am at Thomson “In the Park” Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard. Funeral Mass and a Celebration of Ruben’s Life will be held on Monday, April 5, at 10:00 am, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 818 Arlington Street., with Father Rainerio Sarce presiding. Interment and reception will follow at Thomson “In the Park” Cemetery and Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Boulevard.

Pallbearers will be Boy Villaverde, Benny Torrejos, Boyet Trinidad, Bobby Bantugan, Rick Guinto and Medic Guinto.

The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Homecare Worker Kim for all their care and compassion.
