

Tej was predeceased by her husband Sardar Bhagwant Singh Bali, father Sardar Kishen Singh, mothers Sardarni Sushil Kour & Sardarni Shant Kour and brother Sardar Avtar Singh.
Tej is survived by her children Raminder (Harmeet), Hermeet (Dalmeet), grandchildren Harshvir, Jaivir, Snimar, Symrath and Sakshi, and brothers Dr. Surinder (Tejinder), Dr. Ajit (Gurmeet), sisters Harbans (Prof Inderjit Singh), Dr. Gurdeep (Dr. Inala Ravi Kumar), Amarjeet (Dr. Surinder Singh), Dr. Manjeet (Dr. Ranjeet), Kawaljeet (Kawal Bhalla), Jasbeer and sister in law Mahinder Kour.
Tej was born in Srinagar Kashmir, India. She studied home science and completed her education from Kashmir University. Tej loved cooking, knitting, sewing and was socially very active within the local community in Baramulla.
Tej loved her five grandchildren and spent many cherished times with them. It was the love of her grandchildren that made her travel to Canada every year since 2001.
The family would like to express their thanks to numerous friends for their assistance and messages of sympathy over the last few days and would also like to thank the staff of the 5th Floor (South) of the Victoria General Hospital.

A celebration of Tej’s life was held on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 2pm at Thomson at the Park, 1291 McGillivray Blvd, Winnipeg, Canada. The religious ceremony was held from 4pm to 5:30pm at the Winnipeg South Sikh Center located on 500 Dovercourt Dr, Winnipeg, MB, R3Y 1G4.
