Wendell Elliot Shaw

Wendell Elliot Shaw, age 82 passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg.

He was born March 3, 1943 to Lynn and Vera (Briggs) Shaw.

He married Lois Rea on December 1, 1962. He attended Red River College and was employed by (Metro) City of Winnipeg Planning Department.

Wendell and Lois have 3 children, Shayne, Corinne and Leanne. He is survived by one brother, Grant (Penny) and their 3 children; 3 grandsons and one granddaughter.

Wendell retired from the City of Winnipeg after 30+ years and worked part-time at Thomson "In the Park" Funeral Home and Pokey's (CN) Taxi.

Wendell enjoyed many years of hunting, fishing, baseball, curling and golfing with friends and family.

He also spent all his summers with the family at Lake Metigoshe Cabin.

The family would like to thank everyone at the Grace Hospital.

As per Wendell's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will take place at a later date.
