On January 27, 2013 Wendy, the love of our lives, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.

She was predeceased by her father Don, mother Doris, brother Rick, sister-in-law Lucille and grandson Colin.

Surviving family is her “1st” husband Doug, daughter Crystal (Russell, grandkids Emily and Lucas), son Jeff (Amber), many other Logans, Yaskiws, Dovzuks and 2 Beckers.

Wendy was a loving wife, super mom, loving grandmother, phenomenal teacher, exceptional friend, husband’s “left hand” man. A true angel with a heart of gold.

She was a teacher with the Winnipeg School Division for over 30 years, Ralph Brown School having a special place in her heart.

The family would like to thank Dr. A. Maksymiuk, and all the staff at CancerCare. Also our dear friends who loved and supported us through all this: Doreen, Jane, Carolyn, Gloria, Pat, Karen, Shaelene, Gerri, her teacher friends, neighbours Susan and Helen, and the Logan family who took Wendy into their family when she lost hers.

When tomorrow starts without me,

please try to understand,

an angel came and called my name

and took me by the hand,

and said my place was ready in heaven above

and that I’d have to leave behind

all those that I love.

So when tomorrow starts without me,

Don’t think we’re far apart,

For everytime you think of me

Please know I’m in your heart.

“One of my main concerns was leaving my Dougie, children and grandkids behind because I wanted to see what was going to happen with all of us.”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Home.
