JoAnn Butner Hunter ,87, of Tobaccoville, passed away Wednesday December 21,2022 at Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home. JoAnn was born February 7,1935 in Forsyth County to the late Robert Lee and Annie Kirby Butner. She was retired from the City Of Winston-Salem. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hoyle Hunter in 1997 and a sister, Wilma Lee Hauser. JoAnn is survived by a brother, Jerry Butner (Mary Sue) of King, NC and three Children, Tim Hunter (Kathy) of Henderson NC, LeAnn Moore (Gerald) and John Hunter, both of Tobaccoville, Six grandchildren and three great granddaughters.
The family would like to thank the many friends and neighbors throughout her life, as well as the staff at Kate B Reynolds Hospice Home. There will be no services at this time.
