Charles faithfully served his country for over twenty years in the United States Army before retiring. He was devoted to his family and his church, and leaves behind many friends and loved ones.
Surviving are his wife, Diane Patterson Sullivan; a daughter, Nancy Patterson of Greensboro; two sons, Charles H. Sullivan, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI and Franklin Woodley of Raleigh; brother Larry Sullivan of Florida; and six grandchildren: Taylor Sullivan, Price Sullivan, Sarah Thomson, Michael Thomson, Helen Cade Woodley, and Mary Milo Woodley.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Tuesday at Vogler Funeral Home at Forsyth Memorial Park. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park with Military Rites held by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends following the graveside in the funeral home.
