Eunice Lorena Watson Haviland

She was born in Hot Springs County, Arkansas to Daniel and Mittie Bettis Watson on January 3, 1917. Eunice proudly served her country in the US Navy during WW II from 1942-1945 in Top Secret Communications.

Eunice is preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence Joseph Haviland, her parents, and her siblings, Eugene Watson and Faye Sides. She is survived by her son, Larry (Lula Mae) Haviland; grandchildren, Pauline (Bryan) Morgan, Susan (Eric) Kelley, and Lawrence (Astrid) Haviland; 6 great grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 18 at 2 p.m. at North Point Baptist Church, 4980 University Parkway in Winston Salem, NC. The family will receive friends for a visitation one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m. Pastor Skip Furrow will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. Frank Vogler & Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to North Point Baptist Church’s Missionary Program.
