
Franklin Donald (Beaser) Long, 73, of Pfafftown, died Saturday (11/6). He was born January 30, 1937 in Forsyth County to the late K.P. (Buck) and Gladys (Griffin) Long. He was also preceded in death by his grandfather George W. Long, grandmother Annie Ziglar Griffin, and brother Jack D. Long.
Surviving family includes his wife Carole C. Long, Pfafftown; sisters Janie (Phil) Daniels, Pfafftown and Mary Lee Smith, Rural Hall; sister in law Doris Long Williams of Bethania; brother in law Donald Covington (Sandy) of Star, NC; son Jeff (Nanette) Long of King; grandchildren April (Cory) Silva, of Winston-Salem, Josh (Cortney) Long of Lewisville, Michelle (Colt) Scott of Germanton; great grandchildren Jeffrey Rose, Morgan Long, Raelyn Long, Jack Long, Gracen Long, Everett Long, Tanner Scott, Sarah Scott, Tucker Scott; daughter Lora Lee (Paul) Nye III of Franklenton; grandchildren Paul (Amy) Nye IV of Sarasota, FL., Angela Robinson and Naomi Nye both of Youngsville, Michael Nye of Raleigh; great grandchild Shayla Nye; and many special nieces and nephews.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Franklin Donald (Beaser) Long will be conducted on Tuesday (11/9) 2:00 PM at the Mizpah Moravian Church, 3165 Mizpah Church Road, Rural Hall, NC 27045 (336) 924-1661 with burial to follow.
The family will visit with their friends on Monday (today) from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Vogler Funeral Home Reynolda Chapel, a Dignity Memorial Provider, 2951 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem (336-722-6106).
The family prefers, if you wish, contributions to the charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Long.
