Helen Hennings Simmons

Mrs. Simmons was a member of College Park Baptist Church where she served as church secretary for 29 years, and a Past Worthy Matron of Eastern Star Chapter #60 in Winston-Salem.

Surviving are her daughter, Judy (Jack) Dorn of Taylors, SC; son, David (Camille) Simmons of Kernersville, NC; one sister, Earlene Speas of East Bend; two brothers, George Hennings of East Bend and Edgar Hennings of Greensboro; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and several great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband, James Carroll Simmons; one brother; one sister, and an infant daughter.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday, June 10, at Volger's Funeral Home, 2951 Reynolda Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27106. The family will receive friends 9:45 – 10:45AM at the funeral home. Burial will be 2 PM at Stony Knoll Methodist Church, 2340 Flint Hill Road, East Bend, NC 27018.
