

Linda Collier Hunt Church was born to Paul Revere Collier and Helen Erwin Collier in Winston-Salem, NC. Linda was born the youngest of four. Her late sisters: Donvee Harris, Patricia Aldridge, Paula Carroll. Linda graduated from RJ Reynolds High School and lived in Munich, Germany post graduation. Linda later married Bob Hunt May 26, 1971 until he passed away 1981.
Linda sold American Family Life Insurance for many years and later was a tour guide at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco/Nabisco company. Linda married Dr. Frank Church in 1986 and they made their home in Shallowford Lakes, Lewisville, NC. After Frank’s passing in 2008, Linda moved to Annapolis, MD to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. Linda’s favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren who lovingly called her “BG” for Beautiful Grandmother. BG’s second favorite hobby was playing bridge. This passion followed her to Maryland where she was in several bridge groups. BG became the biggest supporter of her grandchildren’s sports over the years. BG’s beautiful smile and bright blue eyes and stunning jewelry, lit up every room she walked in. Her sweet Southern charm and love for Shagging to Beach music are some of the things Linda was known for. Her hilarious humor and compassionate heart are two qualities that continue to shine in her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two daughters Christy Hunt Arbogast (Scott) and their children Jake Arbogast of New York, Dylan, Palmer and John Arbogast all of Crofton, MD. Ashley Hunt Serra and granddaughter Caroline Serra and grandson Charlie Serra of Birmingham, AL. Nephew’s Bruce (Robin) Hester and Paul (Phyllis) Carroll, David (Candy) Aldridge, nieces: Sandy Garrett, Patti (Phillip) Hutchins, Amy Honeycutt and Linda (Dave) O’Brien. She cherished her longtime friendship with Roxanne (George) King of New Orleans, LA and Zan (John) Davis of Clemmons, NC.
Linda’s Celebration of Life May 26, 2026 at 2:00 pm and will be held in the chapel at Vogler Funeral & Cremations at Forsyth Memorial Gardens 3771 Yadkinville Rd., Winston Salem, NC 27106. There will be a memorial service in Maryland at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Foundation.
