

Ms. Mildred Maxine Mitchell, 83, of Independence Village passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010. Mildred was born in Forsyth County on December 24, 1926 to Calvin Francis and Clemmie Browder Mitchell.
She graduated from Mineral Springs High School in 1945 and worked for more than 40 years for Brenner Iron and Metal Company.
Mildred was active in Oak Summit United Methodist Church for more than 60 years.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was predeceased by sisters, Rebecca Mitchell and Carolyn Mitchell Nading; and brother, Robert Mitchell.
She is survived by her brother, Richard Mitchell (Nancy Adkins); sister-in-law, Beatrice Mitchell; brother-in-law, Fred Nading; nieces, Lynne Priestly (Hal) and Ann Gronda (Pablo); nephew, Fred Pfohl Nading; a great niece and four great nephews.
A funeral service led by Rev. Jeff Harlow of Oak Summit United Methodist Church will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3 at Vogler and Sons, 2951 Reynolda Road; preceded by visitation at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Browder Family Cemetery, Germanton, NC.
