A memorial note from her daughter:
At age 3, you don’t know much of anything other than you want to play and be picky with your food. But at age 3, I was brought “home” to the home of Ray and Wanda Cox. God sent me a Daddy and a Momma, and I didn’t even know I needed parents. Daddy has been in heaven for 23 years and today Momma is holding his hand. Thank you God for Momma and Daddy….what a blessing you bestowed to me.
My husband, Dave, has been another great blessing in my life. He loved Momma and cared for her just like she was his own mom. How will we go on without her? By being comforted and counseled by the Holy Spirit, the Gift given by God to those who accept Jesus as His son.
My son, Cory, may not be great in years, but his words of wisdom and comfort were as if they were given to me by a wise old man. Thank you Cory. Your words will resonate with me all the days of my life.
Wanda Cox, 83 years old, member of Woodland Baptist Church and retiree of Hanes Hosiery/Sara Lee. Momma was such a lady. She loved interior decorating, wearing dressy dresses with some bling, pretty shoes, and carrying fancy pocketbooks, but she never minded getting her fingernails dirty with gardening. The highlight of her morning was with God’s creation…bird and butterfly watching, and deer gazing. The most important thing she did in her life? She led me to Jesus Christ when I was only 6 years old.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept 9th at 3pm at Forsyth Memorial Park in the mausoleum chapel, 3815 Yadkinville Rd. Join us so we can honor my Momma’s passing to Heaven.
