Willodean (Dean) Robertson, 90, of Groveland, Florida peacefully went to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior and be reunited with her loved ones on Sunday, January 22, 2023. She was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on January 31, 1932 to the late Luther and Emma Griggs. She married the love of her life, Vonnie (Gube) Robertson on January 1, 1951. They made their home in Florida and had two rambunctious boys, David and Danney. She loved to cook and sew. Her priorities in life were God and family. She will be remembered as dedicated Prayer Warrior by all who knew her. You could always count on her to pray for you. She loved her grandchildren, Justin and Chad, as only a sweet grandmother could and helped teach them about the love of God. She believed a little switch to their legs would help correct any wrongdoings but it was done with lots of love.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gube, and siblings; Theodore Griggs, Lucille Qualls, Oleda Franklin and Sue Robbins.
She is survived by her children, David (Sue) of Winter Garden and Danney (Kathy) of Montverde. Her grandchildren, Justin and Chad will forever remember the special love and fun times they spent with their Nanny. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley of Groveland and many nieces and nephews.
We have been entrusted with carrying on her love of God and sharing it in the world we live in.
We want to express our love and appreciation to the wonderful staff of Health Central Park who helped our sweet mother during her final days on Earth.
Her brother in law, Reverend Bob Collins is officiating today’s service.
