Born on May 8th, 1948, to Henry & Louise Rice, Hoyt was the oldest of five siblings. He attended Tildenville Elementary and Lakeview High School.
In 1968, Hoyt traveled to South Carolina to marry Glenda Susan Cowart. The couple returned to live in Winter Garden and had two daughters during their time together. Following his retirement from Winn Dixie, Hoyt delighted in spending time with his grandchildren, watching old movies and enjoying the occasional cheeseburger.
Hoyt is survived by his wife, Sharon, his sisters; Mary Ann (Rice) McGuerty, Patricia Rice Potter and Teresa Rice Kohler, his daughters; Tammy Lee (Rice) Serna and Stacy Louise (Rice) Wikner. He also leaves behind granddaughters; Laura Susan Phillips, Elizabeth Ann Phillips and Madison Reilly Wikner.
Services held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Winter Garden on Sunday, September 18th at 11am with visitation starting at 10am.
