James “Jim” W. Varnadoe, 80 of Lecanto, Florida passed away on June 15, 2023. He was born in Winter Garden, Florida on August 24, 1942. Jim graduated Lake View High School in 1960. He then went on to Rollins College Night School. Jim has a career as a sales manager for 40 years. He retired in 2002.
Jim loved the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman and loved to hunt. His favorite thing to do was to teach his family especially his grandsons on life. He enjoyed teaching them how to do just about anything. Jim will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jim was preceded in death by his wife Joan in 2017. He is survived by his daughter Carla Wheeler; his grandsons; Corey Wheeler and Colin Wheeler; his brother, Jack (Colleen) Varnadoe; his sister, Bobbi (Paul) Tinsley and many nieces, nephews and loving friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday July 1, 2023 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 1:00pm at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home Winter Garden, 428 E. Plant St. Winter Garden, Florida 34787. A burial will follow at Winter Garden Cemetery, Winter Garden, Florida
