James M. Whittington

James M. Whittington, 70, went to be with the Lord Saturday, October 23, 2010. Born in Nitro, West Virginia, he served his country in the United States Navy, Army and "PaPa" to his Grandson's Little League Baseball and Football teams. He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years Betty, children, Sheri Brady of Clermont, Florida, Nannette Hallman of Polk City, Lynn Whittington of Winter Garden, Florida, Marci Walker and her husband Greg of Clermont, Florida, Woodrow Whittington, II. Grandchildren Jamie Brady, Paige Brady, Brandi Watkins, Liz Hallman, Lexi Walker, Ashton Bozarth and great grandchildren Anna, Alli and Mason and leaving his doggy pal "Killer". Visitation for James will be Monday, October 25th from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home, 1148 Plant Street, Winter Garden, Florida, 34787. Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, October 26th at 10:00 AM at Windermere Baptist Church, 300 Main Street, Windermere, Florida 34786. A graveside service will be held at Montgomery Memorial Park in London, West Virginia on Friday, October 29th at 11:00 AM. Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home is entrusted with James's services.
