

John Dudley Carter, age 76 of Clermont, Florida, went to be with his Lord on Monday, April 8, after a short illness. He was born in Johnston City, IL on June 25, 1936. John is survived by his wife of 45 years, Beverley Krol Carter; his children: Eric Richardson of Clermont, FL, Angelique Byrd of Edwardsville, IL, Lisa Engelke of Worden, IL and Jessica Rodgers of Hamden, CT. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Justin, Ashley, Trevor, Tanner, Fable Jane and River; and his great grandchildren: Adam, Bobbie and Lexi.
John graduated in 1954 from Tolleston High School in Gary, IN and also attended Lincoln Bible Institute in Lincoln, IL. John was employed by the National Steel Corporation for 48 years as a Systems Analyst. He enjoyed playing the piano, and was a skilled wood worker who made very beautiful, detailed gifts for his loved ones. The family wishes to thank everyone for all of their prayers during this difficult time.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 14 from 2:30 – 4:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Service will be Monday, April 15 at 10:30 AM in the chapel of Collison Carey Hand Funeral Home. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
