John Arthur Crawford III, 75, of Longwood passed away at his home after a brief illness. He was born on January 30, 1941 in Tampa, Florida. He graduated from Plant High School in Tampa and attended the University of Florida. He was a avid Gator Fan of all things Gator. After graduating from UF, he was employed by the Phillip Morris Company for 35 years. Mr. Crawford is preceded in death by his wife Susie, parents John Arthur Crawford Jr., and Shirley Cahow Crawford, brothers Terry F. Crawford and Michael C. Crawford. He is survived by his long time companion Kathy Harrison, his sister-in-law Leslie Crawford, nieces, Kimberly Crawford, Katherine Crawford, and nephews Terry F. Crawford, Troy Allen Greene, Jackie Wood, Samuel Jackson, and Michael C. Crawford.
Services will be held on Monday, June 20, at 1PM at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church. In Lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to either the scholarship fund for Heathrow Christian Academy at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church or their student ministry Scholarship Fund. Donations in John’s name may be sent to the church, payable to MWPC, designating the preferred fund, at Markham Woods Presbyterian Church 5210 Markham Woods Road, Lake Mary, FL 32746. Flowers are also welcome.
