surrounded by her loved ones.
She was the daughter of Dorothy and Edward Bowers, born in Waukegan, Illinois on July 28, 1933. She had one brother, the late Robert Bowers of Groton, Connecticut.
She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. We are grateful for all the wonderful memories we have of her. We will miss her so much. She was a beautiful person inside and out.
She always wanted to be a good Mom and make a beautiful home for her family and she succeeded in doing so.
She loved decorating her home, cooking, baking and gardening. She did volunteer work with the American Heart Association, the Special Olympics and she delivered Meals On Wheels. She loved to have fun and was full of energy. She went to an Elton John and Billy Joel concert once and screamed so much that she lost her voice. She loved going to all of the Disney Parks, Universal and Sea World. She would stay all day and never get tired. She loved to talk and was the life of the party. She loved vacationing. She traveled to over 26 countries with her late husband, Ron, and daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Chris Wachta. A family reunion trip to Italy in 2008 was one of her favorites.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Toni Hoffman, Pamela Wachta and Megan Landowski; son, Michael Costa; her sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great- grandchildren.
