Vic graduated from Oak Ridge High School and from George Williams College, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation (“LERA”). He served as president of the Sigma Delta Alpha fraternity.
On August 18, 1985, Vic married Nancy Olson. They first met at George Williams College in 1979 and officially began dating in 1980, building a life together rooted in steadfast devotion and shared purpose.
Vic dedicated his career to community service through the YMCA, City of Orlando Recreation, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), and the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA). He also brought joy to many during the holiday season in the 1990s, when he served as Santa Clause at Harry P. Leu Gardens.
Beyond his professional life, Vic found deep enjoyment in sports—especially the Miami Dolphins—as well as reading, cooking, traveling, and, above all, time with family. He cherished the moments spent with his sons, including their special “boy’s night,” which he proudly called “daddy’s night out.” Known for his kindness, a heart of gold, and steady words of wisdom, Vic will be remembered most for a spirit described as bright and shining—like refined silver.
Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Janet E. Kruppenbacher and Victor J. Kruppenbacher, and his sisters, Kaye Rahberg and Sue Smith.
He is survived by his spouse, Nancy Kruppenbacher; his sons and daughters-in-law, Brandon and Brittany, Austin and Anna, and Gordon; his sisters, Nancy Nightingale and Amy Kruppenbacher; and his grandchildren, Kegan, Gretchen and Jestin.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and time, to be determined by the family.
