

Andy was born May 12, 1941 in Manchester, NH to Romeo H. DuBois and Ruth M. Gile DuBois. He graduated from West High School in Manchester, NH in 1960. After high school he entered the US Air Force and served as an administrative clerk, including a two-year deployment in Turkey. He married Betty L. Glassford on February 6, 1970 in Portland, ME, and they raised two children, John Andrew and Lori Ann.
Andy received an associate’s certificate in computer science from Concord Commercial College and worked as a computer operator for Sanborn’s Motor Express for ten years. He established, owned, and operated This N That craft store in Windham, ME for ten years. He also served as a security guard at St. Joseph’s College in Standish, ME, and worked in retail at Disney World after his retirement.
Andy enjoyed bowling, going to casinos and horse races, and playing poker. After retirement he joined the American Legion, where he enjoyed going to dinner/dances. He was especially proud that his son John earned his doctor of optometry degree and that his daughter Lori earned her master’s degree in library science. Among his happiest family memories were a cruise to Hawaii, his fortieth wedding anniversary trip to Las Vegas, and vacations in Maine.
Andy is survived by his wife Betty L. DuBois of Winter Haven, FL, his son Dr. John A. DuBois of Cornish, ME, and his daughter Lori A. DuBois of Williamstown, MA. Other survivors include his brother Romeo Dubois of Manchester, NH, his sisters Mildred Lariviere and Constance Olson of Winter Haven, FL, and several nephews and nieces.
A memorial service will be held at Swiss Village clubhouse in Winter Haven on Tuesday, July 10 at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will be held August 8 at Brooklawn Memorial Park in Portland, ME. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
