She had a profound love for animals and nature, which she surrounded herself with often.
Head strong and forthright, she had a tendency to be very opinionated and had no problem expressing her thoughts about the injustices of the world; always sure to back up her philosophies with suggested actions and behaviors to right wrongs.
Though she possessed a strong personality and was steadfast in her beliefs, she gravitated toward all walks of life who were open minded and open hearted, inspiring and ensuring we are all God's children with individual voices that needed to be heard.
She was exceedingly spiritual and intuitive and spoke about her acquired knowledge to all those who would listen. One of the phrases she echoed often was, “we are merely Spiritual Beings having a human experience". This penetrated many she spoke to openly about said spiritual concepts, thus leaving a lasting impression whilst planting the seed of metaphysical beliefs.
There is no doubt that Barbara was a spirited individual that always had good intentions and a world of knowledge to share; one could not help but to be influenced by her and her ideologies.
Barbara had a heart of gold and wanted the best not only for her immediate family and friends, but for everyone she encountered. She functioned as a mentor, teacher, parent, guardian, life partner, and perhaps most of all the voice of reason for all those in her life.
Barbara was survived by her life partner, Carol Montelione, her sisters; Leona Izzo-Doyle and Elaine DeSimone, her brothers; Eugene Cahill, Frank Cahill, and James Cahill, and Leah Shockley who she loved and cared for like her own daughter.
