Eagle Lake – Brenda Singleton Chandler, age 61, of Eagle Lake, FL died Thursday, April 12, 2012 due to cancer. She was born December 3, 1950 in Linden, AL the daughter of Elbert P Singleton and Lera Ineal Hinson Singleton. She attended Linden High School and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She met and married the love of her life, Victor Chandler (6-7-69). Before moving to Eagle Lake she lived in Tuscaloosa, AL and Wauchula, FL. Brenda’s life was an example of how love can overcome all life’s difficulties. Her last few years have been blessed with love and caring for her husband: Victor, son: Paul and the children of Eagle Lake Elementary School where she was a Para Professional.

In addition to her father, Brenda was preceded in death by her brother: Edward Singleton, and father and mother-in-laws: Franklin and Phyllis Chandler. She is survived by her mother Ineal Singleton, husband: Victor Chandler, son: Paul Chandler, brother: Louie Singleton (Marie), sister: Neicey Cannon (Bud), and Kathy Aikins (Kem), sister-in-law: Gloria Singleton, brothers-in-law: Bob Chandler and Frank Chandler, Jr. and step-mother-Faye Chandler.

Memorial services are Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Ott-Laughlin Funeral with a reception following. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made, in Brenda’s name, to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or charity of choice.
