Bruce E Hoak

Bruce E. Hoak, 80, of Winter Haven, FL passed away on August 5, 2016. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on May 9, 1936. Mr. Hoak retired after more than 50 years as a general contractor. In his retirement he volunteered in rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities with his best friend and therapy dog, Bouncer. He was a member Winter Haven First Church of the Nazarene. Mr. Hoak’s faith was very important to him and he had a strong and steadfast love of the Lord.

Mr. Hoak was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Carole. He is survived by his wife, Linda Steadman, sons, Jeff Hoak, Lake Wales, FL, David Hoak, Albany, NY, daughters, Amy McKinney (Terry), Springfield, OH, Stephanie Rerucha (Billy), Winter Haven, FL, grandsons, Mitch Hoak (Brooke), Kyle McKinney, Joshua Hoak, Cody McKinney, Liam Rerucha, granddaughters, Megan Hoak, Sierra Rerucha, and two great grandchildren, River Hoak and Rain Hoak.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 10th, at 10 am at the Winter Haven First Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Winter Haven First Church of the Nazarene for the Mission Scholarship Fund.
