HARRIS, Edwin Grady, age 87, a long-time resident of Naples, Florida passed away after a long battle with heart disease on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Crossroad Retirement Community in Davenport, Florida. He was born May 5, 1926 at the family’s home in Clayton, NC to the late Denny and Sally (Medlin) Harris. He is survived by his son, David A. Harris; grandchildren, Danielle E. Harris and Luis D. Reyes, Edwin served in the United States Army and the United States Air Force Reserves. He was a long-time Publix employee and loved being around people. Most of all he enjoyed his time with family. Funeral services will begin 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 19 at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home at 645 West Central Avenue Winter Haven, Florida. Burial will take place at Naples Memorial Gardens later that week. Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Edwin to the American Cancer Society.
