She was born in Cochran, Georgia on April 9, 1920 to Chapman and Dollie Sapp Carden. She moved to Winter Haven in 1953. She worked at Bordo as a sectionizer. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denson Johnson (1999), daughters Bobbie Freiwald, Myrtle Branch, and son Emory Johnson. She is survived by daughters, Laurine Fletcher, Merie Fletcher, Eagle Lake, Vicki Holt (Kermit), Linda Bishop, Latrisha Helms, Winter Haven, sons Wallace Johnson (Glenda), Roy Gayton Johnson, Winter Haven, 16 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and a sister, Hazel Mullias.
Visitation is Thursday, April 5th, 6 to 8 pm at Ott-Laughlin, Winter Haven. Funeral services Friday at 1 pm at Ott-Laughlin Winter Haven.
