Glenna Lucille Wade Kimzey

Upon high school graduation, Glenna became employed by Eastern Airlines and moved to Tampa, Florida. There she met and married Joel Edward Kimzey in 1958 in Largo, Florida. By 1963, they were the parents of four children: Joel Edward, Judith Ann, Teresa Gayle and Kathy Sue.

Glenna was passionate about keeping an immaculate home for her family. She thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker and wife. Glenna enjoyed preparing meals for her family and making sure they were well provided for. She also mastered beautiful handiwork skills through embroidery and crewel. It was very important to Glenna that she kept herself looking her best. As she grew older, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had great faith in her Savior, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed her time serving as a temple worker in the Salt Lake City Temple.

Glenna is survived by her sister, Nancy Andrews, and her children: Joel Kimzey, Jr. (Angela), Judy Cason (Robert Roach), Teresa Burgon (Scott) and Kathy Atkins (Robert, deceased) and grandchildren Jarelle Petrides (Peter), Jasmine Hansen (Joshua), Jessie Moss, Chase Cason (Amanda Jacobson) and Kaitlin Cason, Jay Burgon (Linda), Christie Sowby (Robert), Lana and Andrew Burgon, Joanna McGetrick (John), Kayli Atkins (Steven Solly) and Matthew Atkins (Mackenzie), great-grandchildren Olivia Petrides, Elektra Hansen, Ayla Cason, Raquel and Asher Burgon, Evelyn Sowby, Jordan Atkins, Coraline and John McGetrick III, and Henry Atkins. Glenna is preceded in death by her husband, brother David Wade, sisters Janet Wade Heiman and Velda Wade, and grandson Justin Kimzey.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
