Linda Julia Rist

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Julia Rist, who departed from this world on February 15, 2024. She was a beloved mother and grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and unforgettable memories.

Born on January 28, 1930, Linda lived a life filled with purpose and passion. She touched the lives of countless individuals with her gift of hospitality. She always made guests to her home feel welcome.

Her dedication to her family was unwavering, and she cherished every moment spent with loved ones. Linda leaves behind her sons: Frank (Ann) Rist, Robert (Ruth) Rist, Dale (Angela) Rist, and daughters: Linda (Phil) Hines, Elaine (Mike) Riefsnyder, Debbie (Steve) Leach, and Mary (Mark) Buck. She is survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her love in their hearts.

Linda is also survived by her brother, Alex Vasselo, who held a special place in her heart, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda’s family will forever hold dear the celebrated family traditions throughout the years. She was a joyful baker and a wonderful cook and made every holiday special for each generation to share with the next. She loved all things Elvis and enjoyed playing cards with the family and visiting casinos around the country.

Linda was predeceased by her devoted and loving husband of 60 years, Frank Emery Rist, and grandson Stuart Alan Branch.

The funeral service will be held on February 22, 2024, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Chapel. Visitation will be at 10:00 am followed by a mass at 11:00 am. May she rest in peace, knowing that her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
