RANDALL MACK 'RANDY' GRINER, 64 9/29/1950 - 8/15/2015 WINTER HAVEN - Randy was born in Winter Haven, FL, to E.N. and Ann Griner. He graduated from Winter Haven High School in 1968, and served in the Florida National Guard. He attended college at the University of Florida, where he graduated with a degree in Microbiology, and was a true Gators fan through & through. GO GATORS! His true calling led him back to the jewelry industry where he earned the title of Certified Gemologist from the American Gem Society. He worked in the family business, Griner's Jewelers, specializing in Appraisals and Gem Identification. He was proud to see his oldest son, Jeremy, graduate from college and law school, and pass the FL Bar Exam. Randy was very proud to see his youngest son, Jake, graduate from All Saints' Academy in May. Jake will be attending FL Southern College in the fall, and has plans to go to Medical School. In the last few years, he and Jake spent much time together with their mutual love of shooting sports. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, with a passion for bow hunting. He was also an avid outdoorsman, going to Colorado on numerous hunts, mostly backpacking into the mountains. On their last trip to the Colorado Rockies, Randy and Jake rented horses, and it really added to the adventure. Randy's celebration of life service will be held Sunday, August 23, 2015, at Ott-Laughlin in Winter Haven. Visitation, 1:00, Service, 2:00.
