Winter Haven – Mr. William Arthur Ford, age 84, of Winter Haven passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Winter Haven Hospital due to renal failure. He was born in Dundalk, MD on December 22, 1925 to the late William Arthur and Doris Henrietta (Kratz) Ford, Sr.
He was a Steamfitter for Civil Service in Washington, DC. He was a veteran of The US Navy serving in WWII where he received the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Winter Haven.
Mr. Ford is survived by his brother Frank Ford, and his wife Jeanette of Joppa, MD, sister Grace English of Perry, FL and three nieces and three nephews.
Visitation is 11:00 - 12:00 pm Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Ott-Laughlin Funeral Home, 645 West Central Avenue, Winter Haven, FL 33880. Graveside Services with military honors will be held on Thursday at 2:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513
