

Lombard, Anthony (Tony) 84, of Orlando, FL passed away Monday, October 4th. Tony Lombardi was the founder and owner of Lombardi's Seafood Inc. He was born in Pittston, Pennsylvania on December 16, 1925 to Querino Lombardi and Assunda Piacitelli. He was one of twelve children. He served four years in the United States Navy in World War II. He moved to Tampa, Florida and met the love of his life Angelina Raffeo and they were married on June 30, 1946. Together they had four children.
Tony and Angie Lombardi opened Lombardi’s Seafood, Inc., in 1962 with a small retail market in Winter Park, Florida .Their seafood business grew into a large seafood wholesale company servicing all of Florida. He opened two retail stores one in Winter Park and the other in Altamonte Springs. All of his children worked in the family business.
His was very passionate about his family, friends, business and all his employee's and customers. He was also very passionate about his Italian Heritage. He was a member of the Italian American Social Club, the Italian War Veterans, The Elks Club, The Knights of Columbus, council 5150 and the Moose Lodge. Through his business and the Italian American Club he became a friend and family to many.
Mr. Lombardi was a true inspiration to everyone he met. He was there to help anyone at anytime. His compassion, honesty and integrity is what made him a huge success in his life, business and an Icon in the Orlando area.
He is survived by his beautiful and loving wife of 64 years Angelina Lombardi, his two sons Anthony Lombardi,Jr. (Terri Lombardi), Vincent Lombardi (Jennifer Lombardi) and two daughters Susan Lombardi Biggs and Debra Lombardi LeMay (Randy LeMay), his 10 grandchildren. Michael Lombardi, Denise Smith, Maria Harris, Jennifer Smith, Kate Biggs, John Biggs, Scott Sutton, Staci Sutton, Alec and Cameron Lombardi and 7 great grandchildren that will miss him greatly.
He is survived by four sisters, Antoinette Ciliberto, Mary Ponipento, Delores Novelli and Mitzi Campbell.
He is preceded in death by his brothers Dominic Lombardi, Albert Lombardi and his sisters Viloa Russell, Rose Peragine, Matlida Lombardi, Loretta Lombardi and Loretta Storch.
Funeral arraignments by Carey Hand Cox-Parker Funeral Services. Visitation for friends will be Friday, October 8 from 5-8 p.m. at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4001 Edgewater Drive, Orlando, Fl. 32804. Mass and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 9 at 10 am. St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment will be held at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, Fl.
