

MORRIS, BARBARA SULLIVAN of Lake Mary, went home to be with her heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. She was born on August 27, 1923 in Middletown, Ohio, daughter of Warren and Harriet Sullivan. She moved to Florida with her family at age 13. She graduated from Orlando High School in 1941 and worked at the Winter Park Telephone Company for two years. She also worked at the Orlando Air Force Base as a switchboard operator until after the war. In 1966 she became an LPN and worked at Winter Park Memorial Hospital until retiring in 1987. She was a member of Aloma United Methodist Church in Winter Park. Barbara lived with her daughter Susan for nine years until she entered the Robison House at Hospice of the Comforter for four months until she was released to Spring Hills Assisted Living where she resided until her passing. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Warren A. Sullivan. She is survived by her brother Paul Kenneth Sullivan of Winter Park, son David and Mary Anne Morris of Casselberry, son William and Debbie Morris of Debary, daughter Susan Hunter of Casselberry, eight grandchildren, Troy, Todd, Toby and Billy Morris; Wesley and Chad Hunter; Wendy Murphy and Tammy Howe; and thirteen great-grandchildren. Please join us in a celebration of her life at a memorial service to be held at Aloma United Methodist Church, 3045 Aloma Avenue, Winter Park, on Friday, September 28th at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, we would ask that donations be made to Hospice of the Comforter in Barbara’s name. Barbara was truly a virtuous woman and a blessing to many lives. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
