

Elizabeth "Liz" Winter MacIntosh, 76, of Winter Park, Florida passed away on May 18, 2014. She was born May 1, 1938 to May Louise Mills Winter and Harlow J. Winter of Lansing, Michigan. She is survived by her beloved husband Charles "Chuck" Stanley MacIntosh; four children: Richard C. MacIntosh (Gail); David J. MacIntosh (Kathy); Alan J. MacIntosh and Charel L. MacIntosh; two grandson: Richard "Ron" C. MacIntosh, Ryan C. MacIntosh; Sister, Mary Louise West and brother, Dr. Thomas N. Winter. She was predeceased by two brothers, Frank J. Winter and William S. Winter.
Liz balanced being a loving wife, Mother, Grandmother and working professional at Greater Construction for over 20 years. Retirement for Liz meant more free hours for family, friends, travel and volunteering.
She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Winter Park, Florida for over 47 years. During that time she served on every board, volunteered as a Secretary, was in charge of neighborhood projects. Her initiation of the "Care and Concern" card program and her participation in the prayer shawl group exemplified her nurturing nature. Liz created personalized cards for all occasions to be signed by church attendees fostering fellowship, friendships and deep appreciation from recipients of her precious cards. Elizabeth's knitting skills brightened the day for many recovering from illnesses or surgeries.
Liz was a Regent of the Orlando Chapter DAR and President of the Chrisitan Temple Manor Colonial Dames XVII Century simultaneously. She held several positions within all these organizations including Eastern Star. She served on the City of Orlando Mayor's Veterans Council and the Orange County Mayor's Veterans Council.
Her entire life was centered on her family and friends. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers the family is setting up a "2nd Chance" scholarship in ELizabeth MacIntosh's name. The checks can be made out to Orlando Chapter DAR and mailed to Regent Linda Lykkebak, 3305 Greens Avenue, Orlando, Florida 32804-3735.
