

Elizabeth Garcin Suarez (Bee), a communicant of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and a longtime resident of Winter Park and The Mayflower Retirement Community, died peacefully on Jan. 9, 2012 lovingly surrounded by her family. Bee was born on Nov. 8, 1916 in Honolulu, Hawaii and lived many places as an Army daughter and an Air Force wife. She was preceded in death by her parents Col. Frederick Ramon and Emma Desporte Garcin; her husbands Col. John Richard Kelly (West Point 1936) and Maj. Gen. Edward Suarez (West Point 1932); and her sister Marcelle D. Hoffman. She is survived by her children Marcia K. Schweninger ( Joe) of Dublin OH, Elizabeth K. Darling (Alan) of Charlotte NC, and Michael G. Kelly (Margie) of Eatonton and Savannah GA; a stepdaughter Diana S. Phillips (Buz) of Raleigh NC; 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren. We will all miss our beautiful and vivacious Bee. Private funeral services will be held at a future date and she will be buried at Palm Cemetery. www.carey-handcox.com
