

Evelyn Margaret Mueller of Winter Park passed away October 11, 2016. She was married to Francis Joseph Mueller June 20, 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland. At the time of Francis' death they had been married for 60 years. Evelyn and Francis were blessed with a daughter, Donna Marie. The Muellers moved to Winter Park in 1957. They were one of the first 37 families The Martin Company in Baltimore moved to this area to begin preparing for the opening of their plant in Orlando- which would be employed to work in the US missile defense program and eventual NASA installation at Cape Canaveral (later Kennedy Space Center). She attended St. John Lutheran Church and arrange Sunday alter flowers for several years. She was a "Cake Lady" for the kids on Sunday and she enjoyed baking every one of them. For over 57 years, Evelyn was a member of the Winter Park Garden Club. She served as president and became an honorary life member. She was a charter member of the Friends of Mead Garden; served as a Pink Lady at Winter Park Hospital for 39 years; volunteered at at the New Leaf Bookstore at Winter Park Library for 15 years; she was also a life member of the Easter Star; Girl Scout and Brownie Leader; Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Mueller is survived by her daughter Donna Marie Kuhn and her husband John Joseph Kuhn; two grandsons; as well as her great-grandchildren and friends.
