Garry E. Sigman

Garry was born in Startown (Newton), NC on August 27, 1945 and graduated from Fred T. Foard High School, class of 1963. He proudly served our country in the Air Force as a paramedic during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1971. Garry was married to Suzanne "Suki" Sigman on March 16, 1968 and enjoyed a long career as a communications technician for AT&T until he retired. He was an avid deer hunter, NASCAR fan, and also enjoyed carpentry and travel. He was known among friends and family for being a caring, dedicated friend with a kind disposition and a good heart.

He was preceded in death by his wife Suki, father John Sigman, mother Mabel Sigman, uncle Carl Starr, father-in-law William J. Peyton, mother-in-law Carolyn Peyton, sister-in-law Mary Edythe Denmark, brother-in-law Thomas "Pete" Denmark, and grand nephew Jakob Mattern.

He is survived by his son Kevin Sigman, niece Kaye Lynn Mattern, nephew-in-law Jeff Mattern, nephew Bill Denmark, grand niece Heidi Mattern, longtime girlfriend Judith Rosenstock and her children Steven Rosenstock, Lorie O'Brien, and Lorie's husband Jamie O'Brien.

A graveside service for Garry was held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789.
