Gilbert Balfour, 97, of Casselberry Fl. passed away on March 2, 2024, from natural causes.
Gilbert was born in Cuba on 3/1/1927. He graduated from the technical college of Plymouth and Davenport and obtained a degree in Business and Commerce.
He was married to Thora Campbell on August 7, 1965.
Gilbert worked in banking communications for Barclays Bank NY. He was an active member in his church leadership at Cambria Heights Gospel Chapel in Queens New York and Lake Howell Bible Chapel Maitland FL.
Gilbert had a passion for all things related to worship and exalting the name of the Lord.
Gilbert was preceded in death by his sisters Gladys and Rose and his brothers Hector, Renford, George, Ernest and Harold. He is survived by his brothers Aston and Ralston, wife Thora, sons Alistair and Claude, daughters Beverly, Heather, and Fiona as well as a host of grandchildren, friends, and family.
Funeral ceremony will be held at 11:30 am on 3/23/2024 at Lake Howell Bible Chapel 2315 Lake Howell Ln. Maitland Fl. 32751 (viewing 10:30 – 11:30)
