I heard about Herb Hanson from my mother, Joyce Chavis Ruggles. They met at First Baptist Church of Winter Park in the 1980's, I think. She always talked about him saying he was so funny. I was fortunate to get to know him from taking my mother to Sunday school classes when she was using a wheelchair to get around. He would always give us both a hug and cheery greeting or joke around with us. They exchanged Christmas cards for many years and his were made by himself for most of the years. I am so, so sorry for your loss! Sending prayers and virtual hugs to his family. Rest in peace, Herb! You were the best and will be surely missed! ❤

Herb has been a dear friend since I first met him and Mollie way back in 1977. He was such a gentle and kind man. He watched
our family grow up as Herman and I also saw little Herb become a
man. He and Molly were such a wonderful, devoted couple to the
church. His smile was so warm and made you feel special. I will
always remember him. He liked to make you laugh and was such
a joy. May his family find peace in the days to come knowing he is at rest. Heaven is his home now and he is with his Molly surrounded by GOD and Jesus.
