
Hubert Francis O’Malley, Jr. (“Pop”), 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 5th, 2017 at his residence in Orlando, Florida. Pop was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 31st, 1937 to Hubert and Eleanor O’Malley. He moved to Florida with is mother, grandmother (Mary Weber) and his sister (Mary Ann) in 1950. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Pop made his career with the United States Postal Service and retired after 40 years of service as a letter carrier. In 1970, he married Migdalia (“Millie”) and they recently celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary. Preceding him in death were his parents, grandmother, sister (Mary Ann Hulteen), daughter (Patricia A. Nelson), Brother-in-law (John “Red” Hulteen) and nephew (Johnny Hulteen). In addition to his wife, Pop is survived by his daughter Sharon Bennie of AZ, stepson Kenneth Goldman and his wife Maria of Orlando, FL, stepson Louis Goldman and his wife Sandy of Amherst, VA, niece Mary “Lizzy” A. Hulteen of Eads, CO, niece Christina “Tina” M. (Hulteen) Adamson and her husband Jerry of Eads, CO. Pop is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 4 grandnieces, 10 great grand nieces and nephews and his puppies (“Precious” and “Duke”). He’s gone to heaven and will be greatly missed, but he is in a better place now, being held in the palm of God’s hand. We love you, Pop.
