

James was an airman in the Navy. And fought in the Korean War. He received the National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal while in the Navy.
After leaving the Navy, he met the love of his life and married after only 3 months. They shared 66 wonderful years together. And had 3 wonderful children. James could fix anything and make anything! Just give him the challenge! James was a devote Christian and loved the Lord and his family! They will miss him dearly!
He is preceded in death by his mother (Pauline), father (William Arthur), brother (Billy), brother (Robert) and sister (Paula). Surviving are, his wife Nina Black, children: Barry Black, Randy Black (June) and Kristy Gabel (Tony). Grandchildren, Kenneth (Krista) Gabel, Kayla (Robert) Zimmerman, Brandon Black, Austin Black and Dalton Black. Great grandchildren, Brayden and Brooks Zimmerman and Theo and Desmond Gabel.
A visitation for James will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Baldwin-Fairchild Goldenrod/WP, 7520 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, Florida 32792. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 21, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, 7520 Aloma Ave, Winter Park, Florida 32792. A committal service will occur Monday, November 21, 2022 from 2:45 PM to 3:00 PM at Glen Haven Memorial Park, 2300 Temple Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789.
