Randy was a 1967 graduate of Vero Beach High School. He was a Green Beret medic in Viet Nam where his heroics were awarded with two Bronze stars. Additionally he was a medic in Zaire before returning to school to get his RN degree.
Randy is survived by his two daughters, Amy Dewit (Rich) of Marietta, Ga. and Angela Carroll (Bob ) of Scituate, Ma. , and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Ola R. Ellis, Vero Beach, his sister, Nancy Brown (Jim) of Stuart, and his brother, Robert Ellis (Susan), of Port St. Lucie, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary A. Ellis and his father, James H. Ellis.
There will be private graveside services.
