

James Edmund Schulte ("Jim') died November 20. 2016. Jim was born in Des Moines, Iowa on April 7, 1934 to Lenora Kiernan Schulte and Edmund Robert Schulte who moved to Florida when he was six months old and later to Coral Gables when he was 14 years old. He graduated from St. Theresa High School and Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. He attended the College of Law at the University of Florida. He was a captain in the Army stationed in Bamberg, Germany where he met and married Patricia Dickinson who survives him. He is survived by his children Kathleen Schulte Moorman (John Moorman}, James Timothy Schulte, and Colleen Schulte. His son, Robert pre-deceased him. He is also survived by his grandchildren Marie Moorman and Ryan Moorman of Miami, and Rebecca Schulte, James Schulte, and Thomas Schulte of Winter Park. He is also survived by his brothers Thomas J· Schulte (Judy) and John H. Schulte (Joanne). He was a real estate investor and former senior vice president of Southeast Bank of Florida. He was a member of the Riviera Country Club and the University Club as well as a number of other social and professional groups. Jim was also an Eagle scout.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in memory of Jim.
