We still miss Dr. Kidd, and will never be able to find another Dr. to replace her......

I was heartbroken to hear of Joan’s passing. She was my incredible lab partner in medical school. Together we shared the fear and joy of becoming physicians. Our souls aligned and we were inseparable prior to the start of clinical rotations. I will always love her and I am eternally grateful that we shared this remarkable time together. Regrettably, the profession that brought us together, also took us on unique life paths. I know she was an outstanding doctor, but more importantly a glorious person, and her life should be remembered and celebrated. Rest in eternal comfort and peace Joan. I pray that someday we will see each other again. You are forever more my angel in heaven. 

I am just now reading this with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes. I worked with Dr. Wilson for  8 yrs at Physician Associates in the medical records dept. She was my shining star. I’m in shock right now. She was also my physician , so caring and sweet. Honestly I have nothing but good things to say about her. I left in 2000 and have always thought about her and how kind she was. I know she was well loved by many. May we meet Again❤️🌹. Barbara Henning💔

I still miss our favorite doctor, Dr Joan Kidd. She was my husbands doctor too. He was in bad health and she found he had colon cancer, diabetes, heart disease and over weight. She felt like family to us and we loved our visits with her. We will always  miss her beautiful smile and her beautiful spirit which is so dearly missed. We love her. 

Joan is still so missed, she will never be forgotten. I saw her mom and dad, and 2 sisters at my mom's memorial. I had not started crying that day until I saw them. They were like a second family to Liz and me, and Joan was like a sister (and we tormented our older sisters mercilessly- 2 great minds working together... or at least that's what we thought:) Joan and I made a never-before-seen museum for her family to tour on one of our visits to Middle Bass Island. We had Stuart Little's toilet, Shirley Temple's comb w/ baby powder sprinkled around it for dandruff, etc.  We concluded with the longest woman on earth (I would sit up by the headboard, and Joan would lie down by my feet with a blanket over her head/my feet-we looked like a 7 ft woman). I miss her so much, and think of her whole family often. Always reach out to those you think of love. We had lost track of each other, and I had obtained my FL nursing license planning to find her and possibly work together-it was too late. I sure do miss those days of being at each other's houses so often, we never knew whose turn it was to be the host, we just wanted to hang out together and hatch brilliant plans together. To her whole family, you are always thought of, and I treasure all the memories with each one of you. Take care, you and she are never far from Liz and my thoughts.

I did not know this happened I am so sorry, Dr. Kidd was my doctor for 15 years and she was amazing and always knew how to help...I had mental issues I thought everyone had and she helped me so much. I moved to Gainesville in 2012 and truly have not been able to find a doctor like Dr. Kidd. I pray for the family and team she was amazing

You helped so many with a smile and a great bedside manner. You were there for me 19 years ago when I had cancer. I will always remember your kind heart.  I am convinced you are in a much better existance.

I didn't find out about Dr. (Wilson) Kidd's passing until today (March 17) via a former fellow patient. Dr. Kidd had treated my wife and me for 15 years prior to her illness. She was always kind, professional, and competent. I was worried for her when I heard the type of cancer she had contracted, but I was hopeful when I heard she was in remission. I kept asking about her as I continued to visit Physician's Associates, and the word had always been good. I thought she might just beat it, but that has proven to not be the case. I am very sorry about that outcome. I will miss her and extend my condolences to her family. RIP, Dr. Kidd and God be with you.

Sadly, I'm just learning of this today.  She was my family doctor for all of the time that I lived in Orlando.  With my being from Michigan and a HUGE Michigan fan, and her having done med school at Ohio State, we always had great fun teasing back and forth over that rivalry.  She is, and will be, missed.

I'm very sad to learn Dr. Kidd has passed away. She had been my doctor for 8 years, she was a very caring and compassionate doctor who took my welfare seriously.  I will miss her greatly and send my prayers for the healing of the hearts she left behind.

Dr Kidd was our family doctor for at least 20 years while we lived in the Orlando area. What a doctor and a caring person she was....I am just heart broken and can't believe she is no longer here...thank you Dr Kidd for all of your services to us and all your patients....I will truly miss you.

The official plaque dedicating the southern live oak tree at Leu Gardens has been completed. For all who would like to visit her, her tree is located at the end of the butterfly garden, one of her favorites.

We JUST found out about Dr. Kidd's passing and are hearts are broken. She was our Dr. for many many years and always took the time to talk, especially if we were concerned about something in our life. Never realizing she had her own concerns.I remember when I first heard of the cancer, I was ashamed, ashamed that I was griping about something so trivial compared to what she was going through. Once she retired, I felt I still had a little piece of her because Pauline and Mary-Ellen were still with me. God bless your family and help them heal, you are surely missed.

RIP Dr. Joan Kidd.  She was mine and my son's Dr. at Physician Associates.  I am happy and honored to have had the opportunity to meet such a great person.  My heartfelt sympathy goes out to her family

I was so sorry to hear this. Joan was a sweet person who grew up with us in Berea! Kind, silly and very smart! I used to be in awe of her! I'm sad that I lost touch with her over the years. Terrible loss to her family, friends and patients...far too soon!

Joan was part of the gang of "older kids" that brightened our home during my childhood, cranking Motown and making us little ones laugh. It was a natural fit that she would dedicate her life to helping others. The world is a better place for her having been part of it.

I was devastated when I heard of Joan's death. I remember a very lovely little girl, with big pretty eyes and a sweet smile. She was a little shy but very warm and loving to our family, she would often hug Duchess the bulldog, and was always a good listener. One memory I have is of Joan and Kathy in our family room, making puppets for a play at school about skinny Mrs.Snipkin and fat Mrs. Wobblechin-they told me later it was a big success. Joan, and her whole family, were so special to me. Dot and Jim always made me, and my children, feel like a part of their family. I want Dot and Jim, and the whole family to know how much I love them. I think anyone who knew Joan believed her to be a very special person, and she was. She will be so very much missed. God bless Joan, her family and all those who were a part of her life, and loved her.

My sister Kathy and I spent many wonderful hours as children with the Lowder family in Berea, OH. It was a talented and musical family with instruments displayed in their front parlor. Joan played flute and loved folk music and rock. She and my sister became good dancers with help from big sister Judy. Judy and I played with Joan and Kathy when we were in good moods. Also, there weren't other kids to play with when Dr. and Mrs. Lowder took us to Middle Bass Island and their old fixer-upper farmhouse in the country. I loved those memories! Joan and Kathy were like peas-in-a-pod; both had adorable dimples that popped up whenever they grinned. Both were a bit shy,but they were mischief-makers too. My sympathy to her whole family. My sister, Betsy, and I loved the Lowder family. I met Joan in Mrs. Logeman's pre-school and we became the best of friends.I remember her house on E. Center St in Berea like it was my own. There are so many great memories of: Joan and I playing w/ our Thumbelina dolls, running 3-legged races during Middle Bass Island festivities, washing our hands w/ Fuzzy Wuzzy soap (along w/ Judy) for an hour to obtain the prize hidden inside while Mrs. Lowder watched us patiently from the kitchen, watching Dr.& Mrs. Lowder sometimes slow dancing in the kitchen when he came home from work, listening for hours to Janet's Crosby, Stills & Nash album while munching on Mrs. Lowder's chocolate that she had hidden away, Mrs. Lowder, Joan, Judy and I helping a dying cow give birth to a calf down on their farm (it took hours and then the calf thought we were all his mother and would follow us around the farm). Joan was a beautiful person inside and out, we had lost touch w/ each other and I am saddened beyond words that I could not tell her how much she meant to me and how much I loved her, and her family. God bless Joan, and her family. You are all in our hearts and prayers.

I had been going to Dr. Kidd way back 25 years ago. She was always kind and helped me a lot. I was very upset to hear of her cancer and was hoping and praying she would pull through. She was a beautiful lady and her patients loved her. I will miss her.

Sorry to hear about her passing.  I was a high school classmate that did not realize she was living here in Central Florida.

I came to Dr. Joan on the heels of having cancer.  I had come through it, but did not trust my body.  Dr. Joan validated every pain or discomfort simply because it worried me.  I love her for that. It broke my heart when I heard she had it.  There are no words to say how very much she will be missed. She was one of a kind.

God has taken someone that so many loved and so many people she helped through her life. I know that she live life full enjoyed to laugh and her smile would light up any room.
