

John B. Bobbitt, Sr. age 89, of Winter Park, passed away suddenly January 15, 2016. He was born September 3, 1926 in Henderson, NC. After over 27 years with the US Navy Mr. Bobbitt retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He then went on to work at the Naval Training Center for another 13 plus years before retiring a second time. John went to school and was a small engine repair specialist and loved to tinker with and repair lawn mowers and edgers for friends and family. He also had a passion for deep sea fishing. He was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. John was an honest man, strong when needed, yet kind, compassionate, and caring. John is survived by his loving wife Grace; and daughter's Katrina Haughee, Samantha Stringer, Jennifer Bobbitt, sons-in-law David Haughee, John Stringer and daughters-in-law Suzanne Bobbitt and Lynne Bobbitt, John was preceded in death by his two sons, Lawrence Bobbitt and John Bobbitt, Jr . John is also survived by his grandchildren Rachael Haughee, Johnathan Haughee, Angel Munchel and Raenee Luna great-grandchildren Gregory, Kylan, Reese, Ryan, Dustin, Tyler and Kyle. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. The visitation will be held Sunday, January 31st 2016 at Baldwin Fairchild, 7520 Aloma Ave. Winter Park, FL from 2-5pm with a funeral service beginning at 4:00. Interment will be Monday at 11:30am at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525. U.S. 1, Mims, Fl 32754
