Joseph (Joe) Stanley Clark, Sr., 77, of Winter Park, Florida, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016. He was born in Prichard, Alabama, on October 18, 1938. Joe graduated from Vigor High School in 1957. In 1956, he wed Shirley Anne Lett, who he met in high school. He later re-married to fellow Vigor High School alumna Linda Rae Mayfield on December 24, 2001. Joe had a 34-year career in sales for Jamison Door Company. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Maitland, Florida, and a die-hard University of Alabama football fan. Known for his sense of humor and wit, Joe was well loved by all who knew him. He was a fiercely loyal family man, a talented guitar player, doodler, handyman, fast driver, ice cream lover, and played a mean laughing song (a Clark family tradition).
Joe is preceded in death by wife of 44 years, Shirley Anne Lett Clark. He is survived by wife of 15 years, Linda Rae Clark; daughter, Kimberly (Clark) Galloway and her husband Greg Galloway; son, Joe Clark, Jr. and his fiancée Teresa Hood; step sons, David Everett and Damon Everett; six grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; brother, Tony Clark; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home’s Goldenrod Chapel, 7520 Aloma Avenue in Winter Park, beginning with a viewing from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm on Tuesday, October 11. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 12.
