Lois Dorst Hicks, age 69, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2015. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, she was the daughter of Anthony and Jennie Dorst. Mrs. Hicks served as a medic in the U.S. Army and with her husband, owned Hicks Orchids and Supplies. She was a member of the Platinum Coast Orchid Society. Mrs. Hicks is survived by her husband John; her sons John Hicks, Jr., and Kenneth Wayne Hicks and her granddaughter Jennie Lynn Hicks. She is also survived by her sisters Jeanne and Rita, nieces and nephews and dear friends.
