

Louis Becker, 88 years old, of Orlando Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2016. He was raised in New York and left there in 1944 to begin a life career in the military. He served in the U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps. and The U.S. Navy SeaBee Construction Batallion for a total of 27 years in military service. He served during WWII, Korea, the Cuban Crisis and Vietnam. He retired in Orlando, Florida. He was proud a member of The Navy Seabee Veterans of America, Inc. Island X-4 Orlando, FL; The National CEC/SeaBee Historical Foundation: The FRA Delbert D. Black Branch 117, Orlando, FL; The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States VFW A.E.M. Post 4287 Orlando, FL; The Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3496 Orlando, FL; The American Legion of Florida Orlando Memorial Post 19, Inc. Orlando, FL. These are just a few of the local and national organizations the Louis proudly participated and served within. He loved dancing, singing, deep sea fishing, reading, historical events, attending Church and spending time with family and friends. He was survived by his son, Guy Becker (Robyn) of Chuluota, Florida and his granddaughter, Kaitlyn Becker of Chuluota, Florida. He was predeceased by his son, Jim Becker of Orlando, Florida. He had many good friends, veteran military comrades and Navy shipmates that will remember him often and fondly.
